EDDIE WILLIAMS MEMORIAL

Buxfest 2025, we introduce the Eddie Williams Memorial Trophy, awarded to the Truck of the Show. This trophy is not just a piece of metal; it symbolizes the passion, dedication, and love our Dad had for his wagons. For him, these weren’t just vehicles; they were his pride and joy, his canvas where he expressed his perfectionism and attention to detail. Each wagon he had was a reflection of his soul, lovingly transformed into a home on wheels. He poured his heart into the job with every bone in his body, even his stickers (sorry Daggie).

Thank you all, and all behind the scenes at Buxfest Truck Show for allowing us to honour a remarkable man, son, husband, and dad, Eddie Williams. As we come together to remember him, it is with a heavy heart but also a profound sense of gratitude that we celebrate his life and the legacy he leaves behind.

Dad had a special way of seeing the world through the lens of his wagons. He believed that every journey, every adventure, deserved to be experienced in style and comfort. He would often say that a great wagon was a gateway to unforgettable memories, and I know he would be absolutely thrilled to see this trophy awarded this year in memory of him, reminding us all of the joy and hard work he put into every wagon he drove.

Although he is no longer physically with us, I truly believe he is here in spirit, watching over us and cheering us on. His legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew him and in the wagons that continue to roll down the roads he loved so much.

As a family, we want to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude to each and every one of you. Your support over this past year has meant the world to us. You've become our extended family, and we are forever thankful for the love and kindness you have shown during this difficult time. He loved Buxfest Truck Show and the growth it has had over the years, so I’m glad he is still a part of that.

So, to whoever is honored with this trophy, please know that you are not just receiving an award; you are part of a legacy that represents a man who loved life, loved his job, and loved the people around him. You are carrying forward the spirit of Eddie Williams, and for that, we are truly grateful.
